Its the time for new beginnings, new resolutions and a batch of new Style Icons. Despite the freezing temperatures, these fashion lovers found a way to beat the winter blues in style. With the beginning of December, winter is in full force upon us. This month is all about chilly mornings, fabulous holiday parties and a new batch of cool Style Icons. This month we have three new ladies who mesmerized us with their sartorial choices. Whether it was reinventing basics or following the latest trends, these ladies continually challenged and inspired us creatively.
With the start of November, autumn is in full swing and what better way to start the month than with our new set of Style Icons for the month of October. These ladies had our attention with their creative styling and super cute outfits. New Landing Page:
As you must have seen we have revamped the landing page of our site. It's more vibrant and gives a newcomer a clear idea of what StylePile is all about. There are 5 different sections, each showcasing the key components of our site - Featured Style, Contests, Blog, Style Icon & Forums. The 'Featured Style' is something we are really excited about. Every week we pick a style from the weekly spotlight page that is featured on our landing page and becomes the "Style of the Week". This week's featured style is from Giasaysthat. So, make sure you check back regularly. Next time, it could be YOU!
Facebook Profile:
Who needs models, when you have such stylish people around. In an attempt to give more face time to our utterly fabulous users, we have decided to put their faces on our Facebook & Twitter profiles. What it means is that now you can access the latest Forum topics and even reply to them from the main page itself. You can even post a new topic from the main page. We have done this to make it easy for you guys to be in the loop and see what StylePilers are talking about.

Someone or something bothering you on StylePile? Now you can report a user for abuse if you think they are impersonating someone or if they post offensive photos or if you receive offensive comments from them. Go to the user's profile page by clicking on their username or profile photo and click on "Report User".
Also, if you see a Style post which you think does not belong on StylePile - due to poor quality of the photo or due to any other violation of the rules of posting, you can flag it for removal. Just go to the individual style page and click on the flag on the bottom right corner of the photo.
We want more community involvement and look forward to your support in making StylePile a more stylish place. Please use these features with respect for the other users and only report users or flag styles when you have a good reason to do so.
We understand people have same names, so we have removed the restriction of having to select a unique nickname. Don't worry all your comments and styles on your profile page still are uniquely yours - so whenever anyone clicks on your profile photo or your nickname (next to a style or comment you posted) - it will send them to your page. Win - win isn't it!
If you could not get the nickname you wanted when you signed up - visit the settings page to change it today.

We made slight changes in our rules for calculating Karma points.
Now, you can earn points for posting or commenting on Forums. People let's see some more action on forums.
Also, we have reduced the points you get for giving hearts and comments to others which in effect has doubled the points you get when you receive hearts and comments on your styles. Trust us, its way simpler than it sounds. The idea behind the change was to encourage people to give away hearts solely on the basis of the style quotient.

We have added a cool new Forums section. Now there's a place for all of you to hang out and interact when you are not busy browsing styles. The forum section has 8 different categories under which you can post your queries, thoughts and ramblings. Not only that, you can also add photos to your posts and get the opinion of the community.
Not too sure about the latest pair of shoes you bought, share their pic on our Shopping forum and get direct feedback from your fellow StylePilers. We think, this forum would be great new way for all of you to connect with each other and have some more fun on StylePile:)

We have been getting a lot of requests from you guys about how to find your friends who are already on StylePile. We have now added a simple feature which will allow you to search for your facebook friends who are already on StylePile. To use this feature just click on the 'Find you Friends' link on the right column and start adding them to your Style Club. It may ask you to login to facebook to find your friends, once you do that - you will be all set!
We think this is a pretty cool addition which will allow you to find familiar faces in one single step. But while you connect with you old friends don't forget to make new ones :)
Hey all,
Please understand that the idea behind creating a collage in your style pics is to highlight some parts of your style like your shoes or accessories. Something which is not getting enough attention in the individual style pic. Please do not make collages in cases when the a single style pic clearly shows your entire outfit properly. This creates unnecessary clutter and takes away the focus from your style. Also please make sure that your collages do not have more than three components in it.
Any style with more than 3 images in a single collage will be removed.

Many of you might have noticed, we have installed a new zoom feature on StylePile. The idea is to give you a more up close view of your favorite styles. Now you can see all the teeny tiny details of the style on a much bigger scale.
For all those who missed it, if you go to a single style page, there is a small magnifying glass tool on the top right corner of each style. Click on it to see each style in bigger size.
We hope this helps you all in getting a closer look at those shoes or necklaces that catch your attention.

Its very simple to add the widget to the blog. Just click on it and select the number of styles you want to display and then copy and paste the code to the side of your blog and if you use blogger then its just a one click job.
