Women, from time beyond our knowledge, have been the epitome of versatility, elegance and true beauty.
Clothes today, pardon me saying so, hardly accentuate our figures. Name me a shape. Hourglass? Pear? Petite? There are forums on magazines and newspapers, not even sparing the websites, about what you should wear according to your body shape. Hats off to those who actually listen to them and, behold, apply them. If asked to name any fashion icons who stand undefeated till today and pat comes the reply : "Audrey Hepburn", "Jackqueline Kennedy", "Lady Diana", "Grace Kelly". And that my ladies, is whom you should look up to. Beautiful slim skirts, flowing dresses, evening gowns. Fashion Advice : Wear them, try them, and i say whatever you are, whoever you are, whatsoever kind of body shape you have : the mirror will portray a woman - beautiful and lovely. posted over 1 year ago

Well said..As you pointed out, I think you feel elegant if you dress elegant. And these ladies have reached an iconic status not only because of what they wore but how they wore it and most importantly they found their own unique style that mirrored their personality. In my opinion, trends come and go, which doesnt mean you have to follow them all & neither does that mean that you scoff at them. One should try new things but anything you wear should have your signature style.

very true!
nothing bad in experimenting too. But a lady should always be dressed like a lady, in my opinion. :) |

Audrey Hepburn remain to be my favourite fashion icon of all time... Like Hubert de Givenchy said of her, " “She knew exactly what she wanted. She knew perfectly her visage and her body, their fine points and their faults.” This remains her secret to influencing fashion for decades to come!
I've done an entire profile on her... with b/w pictures of the stunning style icon. Read: http://fyiitsagirlthing.wordpress.com/2011/03/09/the-mystique-of-audrey-hepburn/ |

I've always loved the 50s look, with flowing skirts small wasp waist and lady purses. so tired of jeans, converse and grunge style (if that's even a style!)

I love vintage. It never goes out of trend!
Flowery things, pastel colors, retro looks, they are so loveable. If you don't want to look too vintage, you can combine your casual style with a little and sweet vintage touch <3 |
